The Oman emblem of a Kunjar and belt in the centre with crossed swords was used as the SAF Cap Badge. Shoulder epaulettes bore (in arabic) the name of the unit/regiment eg. 'tadreeb' (training) for the Traning Regiment. In 1976 badge designs were being prepared for each Service Arm and Regiment
